What was his mental disorder? Are there people out there with it?

Well, I don't know if the screenwriter had a particular diagnosis in mind, but I think it was schizophrenia. I could also see a case being made for dissociative identity disorder (multiple personalities disorder). I lean towards schizophrenia because of his delusions & hallucinations. Maybe the filmmakers wanted his mental disorder to be ambiguous.

I think Warwick had multiple mental problems, but mainly delusions/hallucinations.

Personally I think that it was supposed to be schizophrenia (because of his delusions and hallucinations).
