What if Warwick is very much imagining the whole thing! He knows about the bank rubbery and has seen the picture of John so he knows who he is and he is imagining that John comes to his house!
The Polaroid picture of him with John is just another solo picture of Warwick with nobody and he is imagining the conversation about John with Detective Morton as well.
This idea cannot be more far fetched that John just randomly ending up in Warwick's house!
Well, if spolitta's version were the case, we'd be seeing that scene from Warwick's point of view. Just like Warwick sees people who aren't there, he probably sees them in photographs as well. For instance, he wouldn't frame the photo of himself by the pool with his arm around no one if he didn't see a friend in the photo when he looks at it. So, he could see John in the photo even though he really isn't there.
But I agree it would be way too convoluted for that to be the case. I like the movie as is.
I suppose the OP could be right. Although Warwick's neighbor lady did see John in that mask, and outside the house. I guess he could have just imagined her too, except that he mentioned the neighbor lady to the other cop, while discussing the sighting she reported. Which would suggest that she was real and so was John. Unless Warwick was also just imagining that other cop.
But I don't know how far we could take this theory. Because it ends with Warwick being the only real character in the whole movie.
*beep* off with your dumbass theory. people say this *beep* about any movie that involves psychological *beep* "omg what if...get this, what if he was just imagining the whole thing???" you could say that about any movie. not only that, but theres zero evidence to support your idea. youre dumb.
Are you capable of calming down and not being rude to others? Can you do this? Or are you simply a miserable person who feels compelled to insult others? Does it make you feel smart when you disagree with other users? Yeah, you seem like a real genius. Good job showing us your hostility, too. Best wishes in the world outside of IMDb.
