Awful unapologetic eugenic movie

So I watched this movie, which plot is introduced subtly.

Then like everybody else I wonder: will they get away? will the system somehow collapse? will they get back at them?

NOPE. This movie just painfully describe an horrible eugenic society that accepts to clone individuals to be harvested for their organ before dying just as they reach an adult age.

And it doesn't even try to present them trying to flee or escape, it does not even criticize such system, it's like the scenarist and novelist completely embrace it.

That's the point of the film. It portrays a society that is too far gone.

I don't know if meant to say that the film is awful, but I don't agree. This is a fantastic film, yet purposefully depressing.

10/10 for me.

The clones flee or fight back is a very American action oriented view.
This story from the novel of the same name isn't about that. It's not meant to be about justice for these doomed people who've been created as spare parts.
It has a much deeper and wider scope than that.
But what makes it so eerie, haunting and tragic is the fact they've accepted their fate.
We're supposed to be sad, puzzled, haunted by it.

As I just said to someone else, you don't know that. You certainly don't see it (a part of society being critical to such a system), but the entire film is shown from the POV of the clones, so you really don't know.

The story is about them, in a worlds where at least in some parts of the UK, cloning is acceptable.

Also, you'll note that the schools were closing, so it could be a part of society outside of their world was working against the whole thing.

But that's not what this film is about.
