She never dries herself off after a bath!!! She just walks around, sopping and dripping and soaking all over her bed and the floor! She didn't act like she was in her own apartment, she acted like someone in an MTV video.
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus." "Didn't he discover America?" "Penfold, shush."
I even heard doctors in the past talk about not using towels and Dr. Drew once stated on his radio program that he recommended some men use a hair dryer to dry their genitals if they having to scratch down there all the time he stated even with a towel there can still be excess moisture between the testicles and groin area which could lead to jock itch and even if the person were using medication the problem would persist because the area was not dried properly and a moist towel will just spread the bacteria around.
It gives a whole new meaning to dry roasted nuts.
Movies will make you famous; Television will make you rich; But theatre will make you good.
The movie itself was pretty stupid. Which is why is was released in the U.S. straits to video.
Hammer would have been just as well off dusting off some of their old films for a remake or reboot, and I'm not one of these people whose in to remakes or reboots, but "Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter" form 1974 or even "Vampire Lovers" from 1970.
Hopefully Hammer Films will have better luck "Wake Wood" although from the reviews I've seen for that film I guess they'll have to try with "The Woman in Black".

Knight Sentinel you basically said exactly what I said in another post, long before I did, so I am glad I am not the only one who felt this way about her - I see now that a few people shared the opinion - see my post below.
"My bigger problem was that there seemed to be as many character defects with her as their were with Max. Some of her behavior was just wacky. Who gets out of the bath and then dries off, gets dressed, does not even towel dry their hair, and then wrings it out on their bedroom hardwood floor? WTH? I realize part of that was to show you Max was under the bed, and that there was a serious symbolism going on with dripping water (haven't figured out what it meant yet, but it was pervasive throughout the movie), but please! No one does that. She makes that dumb comment when she tries to tell him "that's what people do when they are trying to figure things out" and even dumber comment "I can't do this - I only know his smell." What is she, a wolf? I realize what she is meaning, but her dialogue was atrocious and her behavior was just plain weird. Max may have been psychotic, but she was a weirdo. (Plus, I think she had a drinking problem. Not one frame in the film was she without her red wine. What is she - a real housewife???)..."
If you're not supposed to towel off, and I get the bacteria thing (I change my towels every two days or so (wash cloths too) - they say anything that gets wet should be changed often because of the bacteria growth), how are you supposed to avoid the moisture? If you do not properly dry your feet, toes, etc, you have the same danger as with your genitals. Yuck!

I was listening to the radio talk show "Love Lines" with Dr. Drew and Adam Corolla was still his co-host at the time and someone asked that same question.
Dr. Drew stated he tells his older patients who have problems with bacteria on parts of the body that are more prone for moisture, to use a blow dryer on a low setting. which lead to a lot of jokes from his co-host Adam Corolla which were actually quite funny from a new meaning for roasted chestnuts, do whole new meaning for a blow job.
I live in dry climate, as soon as I get out of the shower the water starts to evaporate which is why they recommend people living here use a moisturizer instead of drying completely off to help trap the moisture, but when I travel to places like Florida which has a high humidity, I have used the blow dryer method he suggested, although a few years ago i was watching a home improvement show and they showed a shower that used air to dry a person off after showering.
I agree I thought she was an odd character as well.
Although I was expecting a different movie, since it was released by Hammer films, I thought the resident was going to be a ghost. This film film didn't do very well, but the following film they released called "The Woman in Black" did much better, and it was actually a supernatural horror and thriller film.

I remember Lovelines! I used to watch it all the time. I was never really big on Adam C, though, personally. He could be kind of a dumb a&&, though sometimes he was funny. That was actually when MTV had videos on that channel. hehe
yeah, the constant going to bed wet was really weird to me, even if it seems like a little thing. Girls just don't go to bed with wet hair like that. And it's so weird about her saying "that's what people do" after he said she made the first move on him. Let's say he wasn't psychotic, she would definitely have gone way too far in leading him on and giving him the wrong signals. She was seconds away from sleeping with him and she justifies herself by saying "that's what people do" as though teasing a guy is completely normal and okay. yeah and I also agree about the towels, it's perfectly fine if they're dry and clean, some people are a little paranoid about bacteria
I agree. She was nasty to him in the beginning. Yes of course she has the right to change her mind and/or say No. But it was the way she treated him afterwards that was nasty! She basically led him on, and never bothered to discuss the relationship status with him.
Of course he was a nut, and had NO right to attack her or obsess on her like that. But she was a bitch too.

"That scene wasn't meant as a how-to on how to take a bath"
LOL! I love this comment.
But I have to say this business of not drying herself off was a head-scratcher for me too.
I was trying to come up with possible reasons and thought that maybe it was the height of summer and she was trying to stay cool - but then that didn't make sense once she got into bed (still soggy) and pulled the blankets up to her neck.
V. peculiar behaviour but we all have our little peccadillos I suppose.
Look at this, it's a nighty. She would look sexy in that, you'd look like a moose!

it did look like a hot NYC summer true, but still wring your hair on the floor, eurgh

As I mentioned in another post, there was some serious symbolism about dripping water that pervaded the entire movie. She sort of dries herself off and goes into her bedroom (he's under the bed) and then she wrings out her soaking wet hair on the hardwood floor in her bedroom before getting into bed. WHO IN THE F'IN WORLD DOES THIS????????
What if it wasn't sexual obsession that made the landlord watch her through the walls and sneak into her apartment while she slept. What if he watched her constantly because he was afraid she was going to trash his apartment. You know, water staining the hardwood floors from wandering around the place soaking wet. Or, damaging the white bathroom tiles with spilled Manischewitz.
