Why not? Because she was completely unconvincing in those roles. Denise Richards played a doctorate-holding nuclear scientist in
a Bond movie. Donald Trump played the President of the United States. Smart actors like Jody Foster can play dull. Dullards cannot play smart; at least, not to a smart audience. Wanna see dull feigning smart? Watch Limitless, for both script and casting.
