This is a good movie!

While watching 'Frasier' re-runs I see the ads for the Hallmark Christmas movies but have never watched one. I was checking for a 'Frasier' today and caught this movie in the middle. Seeing 'The Fonz' I decided to stay with it. Hey, this is a good movie! Henry Winkler is very good in his role as 'Uncle Ralph', cute name and great New York accent. Another poster mentioned the chemistry between the leads, it's true, they really work well together, even the little boy was believable. The love story was believable, too. Two pretty people who went well together. Again, Henry Winkler makes the movie. Merry Christmas everyone!

I really like this movie too. It's one of the better xmas TV movies out there.

I agree. I hadn't watched it until last year and it instantly became a favorite. It has the predictable elements of any holiday movie, but yes, the leads in this one were so natural and at ease with each other, it made it a pleasure to watch. Added bonus: I laughed out loud several times.

Agreed...I usually cant stomach these Hallmark or Lifetime Christmas flicks, but my wife will watch them all day long. This one wasnt too shabby.

I think Henry Winkler was the difference maker, he was outstanding in this role and brought the entire movie up a level in terms of acting quality. If not for him it would have been another one with the same old re-cycled storyline.

Winkler is very likeable in this type of role and he's got good comedic timing

I love love love this movie. I got the dvd when I discovered there was one. It's so funny and predictable without being too sugary sweet or cheesy.

It must be a Hallmark ratings favorite b/c it has aired at least 5 times already this month.

Yup, totally agree with you... I first caught it in 209 and it became an instant favorite... I now own the DVD and can see it as many times as I like during the season, which is good since Crappy Charter moved the Hallmark Channel to digital only and we only have basic here.

... the hardest thing in this world is to live in it...

I agree. 8/10 from me.
