Whats up? Is Corddry working more behind the scenes now? Seems like he's barely appeared at all this season.
shareI've always been surprised that he seems to appear the least out of any of the main characters, despite being marketed as the main character. even in the first three seasons he doesn't seem to appear as much as the others. has anyone else noticed this?
shareProbably because Corddry is the creator, it does seem a bit weird that the season 1 & 2 DVD is just his face since he seems to appear the least of the main characters. My guess is Corddry is more involved behind-the-scenes, especially lately, which could be why he doesn't appear as much on camera. I think he's been directing some episodes this season as well.
shareHe has stated in interviews that he doesn't like playing the character, so although I'm a bit upset by it, I'm not surprised they would seriously kill off Blake.

shareCorddry has mentioned in interviews it's not comfortable for him to play Blake Downs because of the make-up that wears heavy on the eyelids. So, as he is the creator and the producer of the show, he has to be on set all day even when he's not shooting, and they usually clean the eyelids and put the make up only when he's about to appear in a scene.
shareI watched a bunch of fairly recent movies this past week and Corddry was in Hell Baby, Warm Bodies, and Rapture-Palooza (Huebel was in 2 of them as well) and Marino was in Milo.
I didn't even plan it, but every movie I watched had Childrens Hospital cast members, so maybe their film careers have interfered with their involvement on the show.
