This is a great film. My only complaint is the casting of Arwen. I mean come on, she had no speaking role, couldn't they just go find a model or something? The girl in the film is a plain jane.

Just because your perception of beauty is a pin-up girl doesn't mean Aragorn's taste has to conform to mass-media dictate. Anyhow, this is a film made by "plain joes and janes" and you shold take it for what it is. It's not a commercial product geared towards and carefully tuned to common denominator compatibility.

Yes, yes, she wasn't ugly, but she just want not Arwen, or even an elf. Strider, Gandalf, and the orcs were fine, but she just kind of ruined the movie for me...

She looks okay. In fact what I think they got right is having such a thin lady playing this role. Cause elves are supposed to be skinny. And with such a low budget, they probably couldn't find any busty swimsuit models who are willing to act for free and is fans of LOTR.
