I thought I would come onto the Despicable Me board to read + get involved in some fun topics instead I see posts about minions being racists + the film not following the laws of physics etc... C'mon people when did we turn all serious + miserable.? This film is what it is, just a bit of fun meant to make ya smile + it does exactly that, it's not been made to send a message or make a point just a bit of fun!

Couldn't agree more...this is how I felt earlier when I went on The Croods message board (in case you haven't seen or heard of it, it's an animated film involving cavemen) and people were seriously criticizing the fact that the characters all spoke English and didn't have hairy armpits. Even though adults can - and do - enjoy these movies, do people forget that many of them are aimed at younger audiences? I'm sure kids would love to listen to a movie filled with cavemen grunting, with subtitles...and for the kids that can't even read yet, hope they have fun watching a bunch of nonsensical action on the screen, while being concerned about hairy pits. Either people have some ridiculously boring lives and enjoy trolling, or they've got some long sticks that need prying out of a very dark area. I love these movies, and never question the logic because...why???? Animated films can get away with anything...and that's part of the fun.
shareI couldn't agree more! I'm fed up with all the political correctness, racism & violence rubbish that people keep spouting out when it comes to kid's films. Do people seriously have nothing better to do? The films are just meant to be fun!
