Are the one-eyed minions stupider?

Watching the films, I see that the one-eyed minions seem to either be slower on the uptake of things or they just seem lazier and more indifferent than the two-eyed minions.

Maybe the one eyed minions are younger or less developed. As they grow perhaps they become smarter and get another eye.

Just a thought.
