Season 2 is so messed up. Possible spoiler alert!

I've seen 2 episodes, and this is a very tasteless, sensationalized and confused treatment of the case so far.

It goes from goofy slapstick moments with Lyle's toupé getting ripped off like a scene in a Farrelly Brothers film to the most brutal, graphic shotgun slayings I have ever seen in movies or TV. The tonal shift is JARRING!

The whole Hollywood setting and the brothers' stereotypical spoiled rich boy characterizations seem more like cartoonish caricatures than anything approaching reality. Also, the show creator seems to insist on injecting his own gay fantasies into the narrative, like slash fanfiction. The only other show I can compare this to is that bizarre Liberace movie with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon.

This is one weird, messed up show that cannot decide if it is a farce or a brutal true crime story.
