No WONDER Dahmer was a psycho!

His father was enjoying cutting up animals in front of him! His father was just as much of a psycho as he was! Hardly a positive influence at ALL!

reply

Ahhh, his father was cruel. That explains it all !!

His whole family was fucked, except perhaps his younger brother who unfortunately was led by his postpartum-depressive mother who 100% believed that UFOs were real.

Jeffreys' father, {in the series}, said he had, had the same, sick fantasies when he was in his teens. Jeffery carried out those fantasies.

His father tried his best. Taxidermy is common in the US that we may not understand but people who do that are not all psychos. His mother I think was the worst of the parents, at least the father tried with him. You guys cut up animals in science class and before modern times, people hunted and butchered their own animals to eat or for clothing, so stop the hypocrisy.

I agree. His Father was a chemist. He's a PHD, a brilliant man. To him, taxidermy was a hobby. Or, if not a hobby, it was something he could learn from. Where Jeff took it was completely on Jeff. Jeff Dahmer was bananas - obviously. I don't blame the Father one bit.

And even when Jeff went down, his Father stuck by him. Then he wrote a book, and not for $ because he knew the proceeds would go to the victims. He wrote a book in the hope it would help other people. Maybe people could learn from him and his experiences with Jeff.

His Father was a good man. Jeffrey Dahmer just was what he was. Even he knew that - which is why, when he was getting murdered, he didn't make a sound. He could have cared less if he lived or died.

I had the most sympathy for the father. He blamed himself for how Jeff turned out and for me that shows that he cared and was around, unlike the mother who couldn't care less. I don't blame the father btw. The parental fights were clearly not healthy around the kids, but many don't become serial killers just because of that.

I watched this with my mom, and asked her, which would you prefer: to have your kid dead or a serial killer? She chose the former, and I get it. Having a serial killer for a son is the worst feeling a parent can have. His father went through hell.

You and I are 100% on the same page.

RE: His Mother. She may have cared, she may not have - who knows? What is unquestionable is she was the one with serious mental health difficulties.

No doubt his Father cared and blamed himself.

One tends to agree with your Mother. Mainly because it would save a lot of innocent lives.
