Ending ripped off of Rosemary's Baby

The movie itself wasn't too terrible (albeit still pretty slowly paced) but it was creepy and I felt like the acting was good. However, the ending was just atrocious.

Aside from it being cliche and rushed, it completely ripped off of Rosemary's baby (girl gets pregnant but doesn't know from who, turns out it is the son of satan/demon/whatever to become the antichrist, actually turns out that all of the "good" people in the movie are the cultists, etc).

When the movie ended I was literally like "you have to be kidding me....." it was so promising the whole movie and the whole "was she possessed vs mentally ill" thing was left nicely ambiguous, but then the ending just sent the movie downhill so fast.

Have you watched Rosemary's baby? Throughout the whole film, Rosemary knows who the Father is, to her, there is no possibility that someone else is the father. I think the film, maybe, lends ideas from Rosemary's baby but I wouldn't say it's a rip off.

Meh it was a rip off towards the end more so than not:
Sweet likeable girl gets caught up in some crazy supernatural mess
Pregnant
people close to her end up being in some weird satanic cult (other pastor & her brother)
She births a demon seed.
Its Like a mix of the exorcism and rosemary.

Oh my god, unisex names killed my family.

Someone else came up with a great notion about the ending not being really about possession at all. That the devil worshipping priest was putting on a performer the way Cotton had done to his believers.

Meaning the girl wasn't really pregnant, the older woman pretended to remove a fake baby for the burning, and the fire could have been setup to explode in a more "demonic" fashion, as Cotton had done the same tricks with fire as seen in the beginning of the film.
