anyone else?

Enjoyed the film, different but definitely watchable. But, did anyone else find themselves shouting at the screen? What I mean by this is the guy had the foresight to make himself a splint for his busted leg and yet, he's in a forest, surrounded by more than enough broken branches annnnndddd.....

MAKE A FKIN CRUTCH SO YOU CAN GET UP AND WALK!

Jesus, that irked me something rotten.

What kind of rat bastard psychotic would play that song, right now, at this moment?

reply

Why would he make a crutch when he can just crawl his way through the entire forest (and gets on his knees, push with his foot, move his broken leg around...)?

;)

reply

Minus the yelling at the screen, yes. That bothered me a bit too, but even with a splint, he can't (shouldn't) put any weight on that foot. He'd have had to hop around quite a bit with one crutch/walking stick. With two, maybe. But this is forest terrain, and he's not likely to make proper under-arm/chest crutches that you can put real weight on. Assuming he had the strength and balance, have you tried crutching your way up a ravine?

I still think a stick would have helped in some places, but walking really wasn't an option.

reply

He didn't really want to leave but in the end his hunger and will to survive drove him on.

He was trapped at first obviously. But when he does break free he pieces together what happened. He hears that there were 3 men who committed an armed robbery and that a guard was shot and killed. With the guy in the backseat, himself and the guy that was laying not far from the wreck makes 3, add in the gun with spent shells, the huge amount of cash in the car, the car description and the id with a suspects name on which he knows isn't the other 2. If he gets outa there then as mentioned in the film he's *beep*

And then he gets the flashbacks, or rather the disorted ones as he's convinced himself he's a killer.

It's not untill the end when he finds the third body with the actual photo id that he realises he wasn't part of the robbery and then it all comes back to him.

I enjoyed the film alot. Had an ending i certainly didn't expect. I was as convinced as him that he was one of the bad guys. Terrific performance by Brody, utterly convincing throughout.

yeah,I liked this one too. It was not that bad after all but i felt that the script was missing something, a bit of some suspense and scary situations just to keep you stuck to your chairs and anticipating what might happen next, that would have made this movie even more interesting.

I absolutely loved this film. Adrien Brody's acting was simply amazing! Such a great film.

This was a great movie...and it will make jigsaw proud!!...lol

Yes, I also couldn't get this crutch idea out of my mind the entire movie. I think he could have made a really fine crutch with all that wood around. Even a stick would have helped most of the time.

Lol @Soul_kitchen-1

YES! I kept repeating how stupid it was. He had one good leg - get up and walk stupid.

Only a human child can give her this new name. A human child? Where can I find one?

reply

Excatly. Everytime I wached him crawling around, i kept thingking, why didn't he use stick?
People always stand up and walk to move around. It's our nature, our instinct. So, made a stick to support him walking was more reasonable than just crawling around. And, in that kind of terrain, i don't think that crawling do less pain or less damage. Well, I've never in that condition of course. But, as somebody who live in a woody place, crawling would be my last option.

Also, he checked their pocket to find their ID, but I did't remember he checked his pocket. Did i miss it or he just forgot?

reply

Not only that, but he's freezing half the time and is never aware that there's a folded up hood zipped into his collar! Maybe they didn't want to obscure Adrian Brody's face, but then don't give him a jacket to wear that has a stupid hood when every viewer knows how critical it is to conserve heat loss from your head!

reply

No, he never did check his own pocket. Just tell yourself the robbers took it after they got in the car. Otherwise there is no reasonable explanation why he wouldn't A. check for his own wallet and B. not have it on him. His character is not so stupid to not check his own pocket.
