Good movie (spoliers)

I liked the twist at the end, it was good, I was also hoping the dog was actually his when he (the dog) turned his head at hearing Duke.

I liked the film as well. Adrien Brody WAS the movie, and I like his excellent acting abilities. They are SO good that he can carry a movie on his own, with barely any lines spoken!! The mans facial expressions speak for him, Ha Ha !! Bravo Brody!!

I figured out he was probably a hostage when he found the "Raymond" ID that he thought was him, but there are other parts in this little indie that I'm still guessing at.

Like... why did the girl who saw him being taken hostage keep appearing to him? Did she really find him, and did he really shoot her while struggling with her in the forest because he still thought he was a bad guy, or was it just another hallucination?

The cougar and the dog were nice touches. I believe the dog was a hallucination of his childhood dog that he mentioned he had, while taking to the dog.

I can't understand the haters off this little gem. Not enough blood, guts, smut, CGI crap-fects and bad acting I guess!! lol!!

I think the girl he sees is a manifestation of his guilt, because he thinks he killed her during the robbery. He kills her ghost because he mistakenly believes he's a bad guy and has come to an acceptance of this. By killing her with his bare hands he means to excise the guilt once and for all.

I think the dog isn't real either. The dog is a sort of guardian angel figure.
It reminds him of his human side and in the end leads him to physical and spiritual salvation.

Perhaps i'm wrong. Someone should be along shortly to give a better explanation

I enjoyed this film. Brody has good facial expressions, which means he can carry a movie that has little dialogue without it getting boring.

a lot going on in a very minimalist film.

i like the ending, too, even though it seems a bit sudden.

The girl who saw him being taken hostage was his wife or (probably) girlfriend; remember, he was talking to and arguing with her before he got out of the car to shop. They exchanged a small wave as well when he saw her on the bench.

After hearing that the robbers (which he assumed was him) killed a hostage, he probably began assuming that this girl he kept hallucinating was a woman he killed, and his misconception of that caused the hallucinations to behave the way they did.

But I completely agree, it was a great movie for what it was; good twist, entertaining tension, exactly what I wanted from an amnesia-based 90 minute movie.

I absolutely love it when people write spoliers when they mean spoilers. Seems to happen at least once per movie message board.
