What? You mean you couldn't see the biblical metaphors? You couldn't see the central theme of cultural decay? The role of trauma in cinematic representation? The post-structuralism? The Absurdism? Well, then you don't get to wear the beret or the black smock. No swooning over L'illusion cinématographique for you. No lounging at the Jacques Lacan Académie either. You are not alone. I could never gain acceptance into that club.

No, it's just a film you couldn't appreciate. Perhaps it's not the fault of the director, actors or film, and that it's actually you who is limited?
