They are hoping it will premiere at Sundance. and then show at cannes as well.. I hope so.. Also aparently we are suppose to get a trailer sometime this fall/winter.

The Movie will premiere in Toronto this September 5 to the 15th.
Its also going to Venice...

What bothers me is I read an article about Oscar contenders and the film was not mentioned. That bothers me because I thought I had to wait till November for it to open, because it was going to be an Oscar contender?
I've been waiting 20 years for this film, it should have opened last spring, the way it was originally intended.
It's been mentioned in a couple of Oscar articles.
And it was never rumoured to be out in the Spring anyway.

Yes, the first release date given was last spring.
I'm getting the feeling it will be just another film that will not be released in small town America and will be lost in the onslaught of (supposedly) Oscar worthy films.
