I wonder if Radcliff's handlers are so worried about the sex scene that they refuse to let the film be promoted or shown. Very annoying that a film I would really like to see, has zero distribution.
By the way I've seen all of you damn homophobes on the board and I'm wishing you would all die in a grease fire.
Give it a chance - it's hardly played anywhere as yet. Have you looked at the release dates on the KYD site? http://sonyclassics.com/killyourdarlings/dates.html Will be starting to roll out gradually from tomorrow 1st November.
But where is the buzz? I looked at Fandango and I could not find one thing on the film. I honestly thought it had been forgotten all together. I remembered that it was received rather well at Sundance.
Naturally I tried to think of a reason why it would be forgotten. I'm sorry but a slow roll out for a film like this...I don't think it's a good idea. I believe it should have had a wide release last spring. If it was Oscar worthy, it would be remembered.
Sony Picture Classics does the slow roll out with a lot of movies. It opens in most of the US by Nov 15th, but I don't think it's connecting with audiences enough to become a wide release. You can hardly blame Radcliffe for that though. He has done a lot of promotion for the movie. It seems to be going the way of all the recent Beat movies which have been ignored.
