A movie reliant upon weak actors alone?

I haven't seen the movie and so I apologize for my rush to judgment but...

all I see is Harry Potter and Dexter with maybe a little gay sex mixed in. I mean Daniel Radcliff can't muster up the illusion of emotion? Seriously were his only qualifications for the lead in Harry Potter being British and looking like the boy on the cover of the book? Just look at his face in the trailer. If I can't believe in his character in a 2-3 minute trailer, why would I want to watch an entire movie.

Not to mention that I just recently read Howl and Daniel Radcliff seems to be a foreigner to every shred of passion and radical expression that I found in that poetry.

But I haven't seen the entire movie, so maybe it's brilliant. I won't be rushing to find out though.

no, you're correct. It could've been so much better if they told the actual story and how the entire beat generation was influenced by them.

True, Daniel was pretty bad. BUT, you should definitely watch it for Dane DeHann's performance! It is, without a doubt, his movie, and he completely blows everyone else out of the water.
