Dan radcliffes American accent

I think that Daniel radcliffe was rather convincing with an American accent.

I'm American, and I think that if we didn['t already know he was English, we probably wouldn't have noticed a difference at all. I thought his accent was really perfect here. There was even a hint of a Jersey accent (when he was speaking with his mother or family). Very good indeed.

I'm freakin' weirded out by the fact that I am one who usually never hears male British accents, and when the potter guy opened his mouth I thought 'Oh this takes place in England'. What is wrong with me?

I hate when the British change to American accents. I was disturbed hearing someone with such a beautiful voice hide it for the American appeal of the film. It's what makes the British stand out.

They could have worked it into the plot somehow.

Are you by any chance suggesting that New Jersey born Allen Ginsberg should have been played by Radcliffe speaking in his native English accent? He certainly would have stood out if he'd done that.

Your post is pretty moronic and not worth replying to but, it's only 'beautiful' to you because you don't have it. And the film depicts Americans so American they should sound.

I'm impressed that this thread exists as it is such a boring cliche of imdb forums that anytime anyone does any accent, there will be a thread criticizing it. I assumed that's what I would see here - and I would not be surprised if I look further, if I do find such a thread about Radcliffe.

Whatever ---> I agree he did a good job with the accent in this film.
