The sex scene
Is the sex scene with Daniel and Michael, or Daniel and Dane? Because I heard that Daniel and Dane kiss, but the gay sex scene is not between those to characters.

Hey I'm gonna watch it with someone, so I wanna know how explicit the sex scene is? How long is it? How revealing?

shareNot very. There's a wide shot so you get a pretty full of view from the side of Dan and the sailor, and there's a shot of Dan naked on the bed face down, but other that it's all close ups of Dan's face.

Dan was face up in the very short scene, not down.
I personally found the scene to be unnecessary but after all Dan is Krokidas' muse (as he said the other night) and Krokidas' boyfriend, who creepily resembles Dane Dehan, is the deflowering sailor.
I found Krokidas to be smarmy and a bit arrogant in the after film Q&A.

Krokidas worked for nearly 10 years to get this on the screen to mostly wonderful reviews. This film, if you listened to any of his other interviews over the past year, is dedicated to his father who died before he had a chance to tell him he was gay. I'd be pretty proud, too. Furthermore, the scene was necesssary because from that point on, Alan was a different person. Had his eyes opened in more ways than one, a stepping stone in his development as a human being and a writer living in homophobic times.

I would say they are slightly above average. Glad I walked out on this before I was forced to endure the butt sex scene.

What, did you close your eyes during this scene? He started on the bed with his ass up, face down, and was then flipped for the remainder of the act. Perhaps you just don't understand differing positions for the same act.
