Why did it take sooooooooo long ??

First off John Carpenter was OK, with the idea of Rob doing his BS and praising him.

AFTER the backlash of these horrible Rated B Skinemax movies, John spoke up. He despises Rob, why now ? His movies weren't about horror, they are about whores, Yes.

I'm stilllllll traumatized by the poor choice of Dr Loomis sounding like a "English Indian........Michael...Michael, don't do it" !!! The torture, I tell ya.

Plus both these movies on IMDB scored at least a 5. Should I really have to comment about that ??? There's tons of amazing movies that people want to bash because they don't like the "race of the directors/actors....or they're low budget and only people with working brains appreciated them..or have to be long, boring and high budgeted like Avatar" ?? I mean what is it with society, that is backwards - sounds like a revamped tootsie roll pop commercial.

Oh wellz...Thank You God for the 70s-90's. You can't take those memories away.

PS - I'm awaiting a beyond goofy *ickhead to bash this TRUTH

Conflicting stories. Rob said Carpenter acted indifferent, while at the time Carpenter said ok, make it your own. Think of it this way, the Fog had already been poorly remade at this point, so he probably thought the same would happen again, and in a way it did. While it made Carpenter money, royalties and all, it was nowhere near as good or successful as his version.

McDowell wasn't great, but other choices could've been much worse. There was only one Pleasence, no one could fill those shoes. Times change, people change, attention spans shorten and what hasn't been seen before? That's the slope directors have to climb now. Especially with remakes. You have to add something to it. Too bad it wasn't a good thing.

The homages to the original were good, but the rest wasn't that great.
