Cineworld has cancelled all UK screenings of a film about the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad, after it prompted protests outside some cinemas.

The cinema chain said it made the decision "to ensure the safety of our staff and customers".

Us Brits need to regain our proud tradition of telling people to piss off.

There were Christian protests when "The Last Temptation of Christ" was released which is the only reason I saw it. Two police officers stood on either side of the screen during the entire movie.

If I were a filmmaker, I would want to make a film dramatizing historical Jesus - not the son of God which I don't believe - but a man who gained followers and inspired a new religion. Realistically, I know there would be major protests, death threats, etc., but I think it would be an interesting movie to watch.
