Hopefully Falling Skies will be better

Ever since the crushing disappointment that was two years of teasers and the result was Independence Day I try really hard to have no expectations about anything until I see it...

that said- I'm hopeful Falling Skies on TNT this June is better.
Has much more of an adult Tripods meets Jericho feel to it, at least by the trailer.
These are good things.

Then again- the months leading up to V the way they cut the trailer from the first episode made that look awesome as well - and look what we got. so who knows- but I'll defiantly tune in to check it out:

If only ABC were willing to actually spend some money and develop their series. Oh well.

In its favour that twat Rosenbaum is nowhere near it. The creative team behind this also seems to be more experienced, so I'm thinking that it will be a lot better. But it wouldn't be that hard - if they managed to create one three dimensional character they'd already be streets ahead of V.

Spielberg is producing this show. That will be the difference.

The problem with V is it just never went anywhere. There was no action or battles. For a show like V the acting part can only go so far before you needed action. Plus the story lines were cliche. I liked the Anna assassination attempt but it went nowhere afterwards. This show had so much potential but turned out to be a big disappointment.

If anything, Falling Skies is infinitely worse. I don't see it getting a 2nd season.

It's been renewed and will be back next summer. Despite the flaws, I found it less cringeworthy than the new V.

Falling Skies cost a fraction of what V costs. That's how it got a second season.
I didn't mind Falling Skies, but I prefered V.
