About Diana (spoilers)

How come she knew about human emotions? The visitors couldn't have been on the Earth of the TV show in the past. Otherwise, they would be evidence of their visit. So, maybe the Diana lead visitors encountered humans in another planet?
Since the visitors future as a species depends on what happens on this Earth, that means things did go well on the other planet with humans, right? That's why Anna took over? Or show's writers did think about this stuff?

How weird was Anna leaves Diana locked up for 15 years and then suddenly she visits her frequently even just to brag (or gloat as Diana said)?
By the way this relates to the retarded notion of "human emotions" and that having human skin over an alien one can give you emotions. What a pile of BS. And it isn't "human emotions", it's emotions. Visitors have them.

They had been watching humans for a long time. It seems they were able to watch at a distance before coming to Earth.

In general though, don't know if the writers thought it through. I didn't like the idea of getting emotions through skin either. I much prefer the idea that emotions are natural to them, but bliss blocked most of them.

Some of the Visitors (such as Ryan) have been on Earth for decades, which is made clear in the first series. Ryan has actually allowed himself to express his emotions, hence why he defected from the Visitors and opted to live as a "human" instead.

First series? Do you mean the first season? The two series are not in the same timeline. The two Dianas are different characters.

Yes, I meant the first season (I'm British and here we call a season a series - series 1, series 2, etc). It's pretty obvious to what I was referring though since the visitors in the original 1980s series had not been on Earth for decades and there were no main characters called Ryan.

Aw, didn't know that was the British way. :)

As for the rest, a lot of people have thought that the two shows are in the same timeline, that the two Dianas are the same. They've even nitpicked the new V based on this, such as seriously asking "Why are the humans trusting the Visitors? Don't they remember what happened the last time they visited?" I think bringing back Jane Badler and giving her character the same name only added to the confusion. :)

That's just moronic. Don't they pay attention to what's on the screen? It was quite clear from the start of the first episode of the remake that this is an entirely new show and that there has never been an alien invasion from a couple of decades earlier. Honestly - some people are so idiotic.
