Pity for Joran

Ok I know I may get alot of flak for this but I kind of feel sorry for Joran Van Der Sloot. He lies alot in interviews I know but I believe he was telling the truth when he didn't know he was being recorded. I just believe that he was some dumb rich teenager who panicked when Natalee Holloway had a seizure and was afraid he was going to get in trouble so he did whatever he did with her body. I think that the guilt of possibly killing Natalee had drove him insane. Thats why he killed that poor Peruvian girl. Notice he killed her with a tennis racket. His dad died playing tennis. 5 years to the day totally obviously murders another girl he wanted to get caught. Not to mention he just bashed his own head off the wall in prison. This kid is not playing with a full deck here. I'm not excusing him and I feel a great deal more sympathy for those poor girls he killed (the peru looks eerily identical to my sister) and their friends and families but I just can't help but feel some sort of sadness for that crazy guy.

I'm sad for him too; he had all the advantages and threw them away. But I'm a hell of a LOT sorrier for the girls he murdered.

I can see how you can have pity for Jordan. The girl was laying on the table asking him to suck booze out of her belly button. Dancing around like a slut bimbo. Flirting with him. She went with him in the car, and gave him the idea she was ready to give it away to him. She was doing everything but jumping his bones. When he finally had her alone on the beach, he may have tried to come on to her, at that point, she said no, after almost screwing him when they were in the bar. You are asking for it.

Flirting with someone and then deciding not to have sex should carry a penalty of murder?

Even if she did all those things that in no way is ANY excuse to be murdered and/or raped!!!!

NO ONE IS EVER 'ASKING' FOR IT.

Someone like you is someone like Joran van de sloot.........absolute scum of the earth.

I agree that young women should behave more sensibly and should look out for themselves; however, no means NO.

Pity for Joran, not in this lifetime or the next. I don't pity him at all, he is a sociopath pure and simple and he was born that way, he did not go insane after Natalee died, maybe she died by accident maybe not we will probably never know but the fact that he has lied and lied about what happened doesn't make him appear in anyway innocent to me, he knows what happened to her and still he makes her family suffer because of his inabilty to tell the truth or maybe he just gets a kick out of messing with everybody!

I also think the car recording is the truth. I truly that she went into a seizure and in his substance altered state he freaked out and threw her body in the Ocean.
Normally I would feel sorry for him, because he made a huge life altering mistake in a moment of panic, I would agree he should be charged with involuntary manslaughter. HOWEVER because he has been lying through his teeth for 7 years, killed another girl, and refuses to give Nathalees family peace by telling them where she is, I don't feel an ounce of sympathy for him.

The fact that he admitted he killed someone else in 2112 changes the way I see the story.

I believe him a sociopath, willing to lie for gain.
He's also arrogant (seen him enough here on Dutch television) arrogant enough to have once told the
truth in the big web of lies he told, which one was the truth only he knows.
