Beautiful movie with a great "moral"...(Spoilers)
I just watched this for the first time, and funny, I was reluctant to see it, thinking it might be a cheesy romantic comedy, but to my surprise, I was quite emotionally involved the whole time and the "moral" of the story is quite beautiful and powerful.
You know, it does make you ponder what one might do if the end of the world was coming, and who to spend it with, and while the humor we see comes from what alot of people do(drugs, orgies, sex with friends like Diane, which man, Dodge, Whats wrong with you??? I would have lol, so hawt!) , the power lies within the question of self worth and how precious each and every moment we have truly is!
The one statement that hit me over the head with it was when they are laying in the bed at the end, and how she's saying she wished they had more time with one another, and Dodge says "It never would have been enough". When you really find love, and you find that special person, he's right. Doesn't matter if its 80 mins or 80 years, the day that you will no longer be together is a heartbreaking thing to contemplate and it really is "never enough". The film really shows us how important it is to treasure every moment we have and in the end, if you go out with a sense of fulfillment, you truly know what it means to LIVE. No fear, no regrets, it's all going to end someday, so make sure you are making it count! It's never too late....
Absolutely phenominal and I give it a 10 out of 10! What did you think/take away from this movie???
Oh I travel, a sort of licenced troubleshooter.
