What do you think Dodge wrote on the note he left for Olivia?

He probably explained about not getting her letter till now. He probably told her that she'd been the love of his life too (even if he wasn't sure about it). He probably told her a little about how his life had gone, and said he wished he could stay there with her, but that he had this responsibility that had to be carried out~~stuff like that.

Multiplex: 100+ shows a day, NONE worth watching. John Sayles' latest: NO distribution. SAD.

He wrote what ever you would say in that situation. That is the great part about the filmmaker deciding not to let us in on it. We get to decide for ourselves.

Never received the letter until last week.
The relationship floundering was his greatest regret.
