Elsa the maid.... Bless her heart

I thought she was the cutest and most endearing character in this movie. To think that she wasn't even aware that the Apocalypse was happening, nor did she assume why Dodge anted to get rid of her. It was as if all she really wanted was to be his friend and housekeeper. Her only two brief scenes captured my heart like none of the other characters did.

It was so endearing to see her smile with joy knowing she would return on Thursday to her job. What a woman.

I felt that she knew, too. Her way of coping is how I read her scenes.

I'm afraid that's what my workaholic wife would do. Retain the order of her days, continue to help others.
But don't feel too bad for the maid - her other job was at the Schwarzenegger's, and her bonus was a fine son, so she wouldn't die alone...

Elsa was good. She didn't want anything to break her routine. Not even the end of the world. Bless her.
