Is this still on hiatus?

Have they started showing new episodes yet? It feels like there's this whole in the CN roster, especially since they don't show adventure time reruns or for that matter regular show. Weird. Anyway what direction is this show taking now? I remember something about the creators saying it's going back to its roots but what does that mean? Especially with all the stuff dropped in us lady season.

The show will return with a brand new season November 2. I think what the creators meant that the show would return to adventures (and hopefully comedy), like the earlier seasons.
