The Mushroom war
Was a nuclear holocaust. It never hit me until a second ago.
shareYeah, it's always been a little disturbing to think this is basically just a kid shows take on a post-apocalyptic world. Brilliant show (At least seasons 1-4, I have my issues with seasons 5-6), but it's still frightening show at times.
shareLOL dude.
shareKnow what you mean, I loved The Blank-eyed Girl episode, reminded me of the old episodes with Finn and Jake's crazy supernatural adventures, they need more like that
shareYea pretty clever way to describe it for a kids' show. You know what I mean? It sounds cute and whimsical but the iconography of a mushroom cloud from nuclear weapons suddenly makes it much darker.
What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
Even more brilliant is how The Lich is implied to be the inevitable incarnation of human malice (atom bomb). He inherited the bomb's purpose, to destroy life.
