some rumors on the internet suggest that denzel washington would be playing esposito (who will obviously be renamed) and Billy Ray (co-writer of the hunger games and director of 07's Breach) will be directing.

Would have been perfect 20 years ago, a little old now. It's easier and more convincing to make younger actors look older than the reverse.

But of course - when in doubt cast an Irishman. People are such children. No wonder Hollywood gets away with taking liberties. If they do remake it I hope they'll get their facts right this time. Clearly the best choice for Esposito would be Joe Mantegna. Sandoval has to be played by Steve Carell.
This movie was good, I hope Hollywood doesn't screw it up. What's so wrong with just watching the original version with subtitles?
Oh God ! not another(no doubt dumbed-down and inferior ), American remake of a non-English language film ! Couldn't Americans just accept subtitles ? Reading them isn't that difficult and they would find watching the originals so much more rewarding.

I just watched it tonight and I thought it was beautifully executed. I don't mind reading subtitles. Some people may fear it takes their eye away from the screen.
