Great scene of the movie.

How does it work on the versions of the movie in another language?

yes of course, but I think a lot of things maybe are "lost on translation"

As an English-only, subtitle-dependent viewer.. it worked fine for me. I loved it.

The A, which doesn't work on the typewriter, represents the missing piece of his life, and we note also that it is the letter A which is also the letter here that he uses to change fear to love, allowing him to move from past to future.

Solving the case allows him to move on.
