Just finished watching this and it was awesome!

Holy crap I loved it, great action, great story. As a huge Iron Man fan reading since the late 80s I honestly don't care how the twist was handled I knew about it for many months now and it's possible that there is a real mandarin out there and Killian was just using a name. Usually actors start to get bored with their roles but RDJ even after being Tony Stark in 4 movies plus a cameo in Hulk is still having lots of fun with the role. I hope we at least get an Iron Man 4 at some point.

Iron Man 4 may happen but well after Avengers 2 and 3. RDJ has said as much. I have a feeling Iron Man will continue but with another actor as Tony Stark. Tough shoes to fill it's true but if Bond can keep going then so should Iron Man.

Tony Stark is WAY cooler than James Bond.

reply

Tony Stark also has an entire universe of characters to back his play. James Bond has nothing but two lame supporting characters throughout all the years.

I've read where fans are pushing for Iron Man 4 featuring The Hulk to be Marvel's May 2016 film that goes head to head with Superman: Affleckattack. I would help fund the film myself if they could swing that!

reply

If they make a movie with Hulk vs. Hulkbuster Iron Man, I will go to see it 5 times, at least. That will be my help with funding.

I think, when the time comes, that RDJ are going to sign up for more. Don't base it on anything, and i wouldn't mind a recast, although i don't prefer it, but something just tells me that RDJ loves being Tony Stark, and that he will have a hard time saying goodbye when the time comes. The break from Iron Man in phase three, might be just what he needs.

Ah, the magic of home viewing! This movie is just as good today as when I saw it at the cinema.

I see the word "awesome" a lot on these Marvel pages.

Oh yeah, believe all the big time critics (Richard Roeper, etc.) this is one exceptional movie. This first movie’s official title was, “Iron Man: Jon Favreau’s comic book masterpiece.” The sequel is going to be known as, “The Greatest number three film of All-Time.”

As was the case in Iron Man and Avengers, Stark makes for a compelling character. He really was the best and most complex character put to screen in 2013. Much more interesting and complex then some of the Oscar buzz entries.

Iron Man 3 is a fun big-screen blockbuster with heart but also brains. It's smart and benefits from an amazing screenplay. It wonderfully blends experienced, award winning actors with a balanced mix of story and action. The comedy works so well on many levels. There's the "hit you over the head" type humor and then there's the drier, sarcastic comedy that Robert Downey was born to deliver.

A compelling character study from day one of the trilogy. That's why most consider it the best the genre has ever produced. Who cares where is stacks up to The Godfather? Apples and oranges.

Being late to the party is better than missing it entirely.

Lent is half over and I'm still one happy dude.

We will get an Iron Man 4 at one point. How it will look is anyone's guess. Will they recast or have Tony had the tech off to someoneelse? Maybe the kid from this film?

Fat Tuesday or not, this movie still rocks!!!!!!!!!!

Why so late to the party? People not watching Marvel films at the cinema baffle me. They must lead very dull lives.

You're so right about RDJ as Iron Man. I never get tired of him as Tony Stark. It's great to see another fan out there who loves the movie despite the Mandarin twist. I loved Iron Man 3 a lot.

If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now.-Loki (Marvel's Avengers)

That's why it won't be until after Infinity War and around 2020 before Marvel makes a move recasting or moving past Stark as Iron Man.
