the 1st 4 were developed as characters out of their cop jobs;
dewey wasnt but he coulda had a hard case lifestyle so a pity they didnt develop him.
you saw his family once , his daughters when he was in hospital s05 e05.
I started watching because Ben McKenzie was in Southland but ended loving this show and watching all 5 seasons in less that a week.
1. John Cooper became my favourtie
2. Ben Sherman (although as pointed out he did become a bit of a dick)
3. Sammy and Nate (loved them together)
4. Dewey I hated at first but ended up liking him a lot
