Everyone should have a friend like that
I didnt know about this case until documentary and never saw trailer.
Honestly at first I wanted to give benefit of a doubt. To that theory that its always husband or wife. I felt sorry for guy. That if he didnt do that then still everyone will treat him like he did and harass.
I thought maybe she drowned in a lake after road accident. I saw youtubers that search and find those cars and helping solve cold cases.
Then I thought maybe its "Amazing Amy". Maybe he was abusing her and she took kids and just run away. We dont now these people and what was happening behind doors.
But her friend knew! Immediately she knew he did something to them. Because of all the affair thing and his silent creepiness. She was so bossy and like a tank. 8 hours after she dropped her friend off - she was already calling cops because her friend didnt show up at some appointment.
She alerted her parents and asked permission to enter. Which I thought was too much at first. What if friend just has her phone dead and will show up in two hours but parents will get super worried. BUT SHE KNEW something bad has happened!
Who was the guy she showed up with? She was very lucky husband didnt thought she was a threat. Otherwise he would just ask her inside to search for wife and murder. Was that why she showed up with another person and called cops? Its good that killer husband wasnt home and dint came from work immediately. And then it was too late when police was already there.
Im surprised that friend didnt start blaming husband right there in his face and didnt say to cops he has an affair and did it. Maybe she did and it wasnt in documentary.
But if she would not alert police right away - it would be harder for them to corner husband. He would have few days to think of plan how to make it look like she just ran away. He wanted to push it with bringing her ring and saying blankets of daughers are gone too. But it was weak and he was bad actor. He should have push it harder to make it sound believable.
And neighbor with camera knew something was off with that guy and told cops.
