So I have to admit....I didn't really understand this movie at all. It was so irrelevant to the other movies in the series. So whats the next movie gunna be about? I didnt feel there was any real cliff hanger. Sparrow realized the pearl is still out there and the next movie is going to be about him trying to get it back just like the other ones were about? And how did barbossa lose his leg?

I just found the movie boring and only half paid attention to it and didn't feel like watching it again so I thought someone could give me a quick summary.
That's like asking someone to study for a test that you have to take, then decide that you just want them to take it for you.
The plot synopsis on this site or wikipedia would explain it much better than we ever could. Easiest solution is to watch the movie again.

Sparrow already has the black pearl at the end of the movie, it's in the bottle that Gibbs got for him. And barbossa lost the leg when blackbeard took the pearl from him. Ropes got wrapped around his leg and pulled it off, I think.
No idea what the next movie would be about, not that interested. I think all movies have pretty much sucked, except the first one.
Btw, I totally understand why you would come here and ask instead of watching. Some movies are just to boring to waste your time watching, but you still want to know what happened out of curiosity.

What, you never felt that way? Have you never been curious about the ending of a story, but was bored with the part in between? Maybe it's just me, cause I do that alot. I mean, it takes hours to sit through a movie, and a minute for someone to tell you what happens.

shareI just rewatched this last night and I really like all the different way they can do another sequel or trilogy.
Barbossa has Blackbeards sword which can control ships.
Philip according to me will be come king of the mermaids, a King Triton if you will.
Orlando is still the new Davey Jones.
Jack has the Pearl back but also the makings of an epic huge fleet if he can figure out how to remove the ships from the bottles.
Angelica has a way to own and control Jack with the doll.
Imagine that battle royal!
