Jack Sparrow felt so forced

It was really bad in the 4th one, I adored the first 3 and he just seemed to come off awkward naturally in those 3. Now with this one it seemed so off, like they absolutely forced his lines and the way he acted for just flat out retarded instead of the original sparrow. It ruined the film for me, i was so amped to see Black beard finally in the flick but it let me down.

I think you can put all that blame right on the director's shoulders. It's not just about getting the right takes, but also about the atmosphere created on set. Nobody looked like they were having fun in this movie.

It was probably because so many key characters were missing.

But i know for a fact that Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush had fun on set when they were together.

See i disagree. In all of the other movies Jack is basically either in charge, or acts like he's in charge. And even when he's not he has something that the person in charge wants.

However in this one, Jack is by himself and essentially helpless and he doesnt really have anything that Blackbeard would want accept for his compass of course.
