Is this worth seeing as a separate picture?

I saw and was a fan of the first three movies, but haven't seen them since they came out, or maybe a year later. I thought the third one was the end; I must have somehow missed this one. Not really remembering the others, is this worth seeing? Or would I have to rewatch the first three to get it/enjoy it?

If you're watching it for Elizabeth and Will, they aren't in it. I've only seen this film one time and I did NOT like it. But ... I felt that way with each of the first 3 movies. I liked them with every rewatch more and more, and now I love them.

I can't shut my brain off while watching, and it tries to figure out what's going to happen, and what it wants to happen, etc. ... and it isn't until I've seen the movie and know what's going to happen and how it's going to turn out that I can sit back and enjoy the view.

I really don't think I'm going to like this after a rewatch. But I won't know until I've seen it again.  I do love Jack, but I love him better when E&W are along for the ride.

In a book series, I'd say the first 3 movies were a trilogy ... and this movie is either a standalone, or the start of an new trilogy. As to whether or not it's worth a view for you? Only you can answer that. If you give it a chance, keep your expectations low, that way there isn't much of a fall if it disappoints you ... and you'll be thrilled if it rises higher than you expected.

Now, if I hadn't seen it yet, and I came here and I was told "don't bother, it isn't worth it" ... I'd watch it anyways because I know that I could like it while others didn't, and I wouldn't want to miss out on that. So, by all means, give it a shot ... it just might be up your alley.  Was that helpful?  

I just don't like to tell someone not to watch/read something, even when I didn't like it and thought it was a waste of my time, because you could have different tastes to mine and love it. I find I like/love books/shows better when I go in with low expectations. High expectations tend to leave me disappointed.

Well thanks for so much detail!

I didn't mean tastes, so much as just whether the storyline connects to or references the first three, if I could enjoy it and understand it on its own without the first three.

Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley don't do much for me anyway.

You're very welcome. At the end of the last movie, Jack is setting off to look for the fountain of youth ... and that is still his agenda in this movie.
