It was never meant to be funny.Matter in fact it's quite sad.I never imagined a movie with 3 modern day movie stars could turn out to be utter crap.

yes, this is the worst kind of movie Hollywood makes. actors who are phoning it in, a story that is so uninteresting, not any joke or funny part that is really funny, the most typical Hollywood movie where nothing unpredictable or creative ever happens oh and annoying Hollywood usage of music that is so over done. where they just use a well known famous song to go along with a scene, and this music adds nothing to the scene and is annoying because it's just not creative in that way it's put in the scene.

Well, 'Watch'd it tonight and can see both sides of the coin. Not a very good film in many ways, and yet a lot of very funny lines. And ya have to admit there ain't many films out there like it!

What really got me is that my intelligent, artsy, bookish girlfriend Loved it. She was laughing the whole time! (well, except when she was counting bullets, complaining that they HAD to be running out of ammo...) I was more amused looking at her, than the film.

I agree I can see both sides of the story... It's a terrible film if you really want to study it from an intellectual and quality comedic writting stand point... but that was not their intention at all. It is a dumb comedy that can be enjoyable if you watch it as so! I myself enjoyed it, it had some funny lines. No it is not a GREAT comedy but it's funny. Especially if your baked it make is much better!

For me , it doesn't work as a dumb comedy either.I'd watch "Dude , where's my car?" over this any day.That is a really dumb comedy that i could actually watch.

For instance , i suppose the cow scene was supposed to be a major comedic scene in this movie.I didn't even smile.

Maybe it's the fact that it's harder to make good comedies nowadays.I hardly remember the last good comedy.I think it was Superbad for me.The Hangover was mediocre yet had so much success.

I made my point clear about the title.Why do i have to proove my point again to you ?

As for the "Dude where's my car comparison".While i sat trough that movie i had a few smiles and i could laugh about how bad and cheesy the movie really is.I couldn't even do that in this movie.While i was watching the cow scene , i didn't have a smile on my face , for some reason i couldn't even laugh about how bad it is , i was just looking at the screen thinking "Ok this is bad".

I can relate to your girlfriend then:
I laughed the whole time, and the only thing that made me think "wait a minute!" was the fact that nobody ever had to reload while shooting (except for Ayoade during his "coolest moment"). ;)

I loved the movie...and I'll watch it again and again!
So, from my POV, they could've called it "Constant Rerun" - just to answer the OPs question.

WHAT it was a GREEEEEEEAAAAAAATTTTTT MOVIE It watch it again and again and a again WATCH. Then again the 1950's movie Plan9 from outer space was listed as the worst movie ever made. I recently watch it, and found it wonderful and I heard a remake is in the making.

I personally think that it was an experiment; some work better than others!

They are all used to such silly movies, they were bound to make one that didn't work. I can't wait to get some "not silly" Ben Stiller, he was borderline sane compared to his other movies.
