A group of guys getting together in the suburbs to figure out a mystery, very similar. I loved The Burbs and i gotta say i loved this, it felt like such a throwback to that kind of movie from the 80's.

Absolutely. Stiller was somehow similar to Hanks role (normal guy, married trying to protect neighborhood), Vince character was childish like Rick Ducommun's. Hill was young and silly as Corey Feldman yet was kinda crazy as Bruce Dern's Lt. Mark Rumsfield(guns and all that stuff).
No way one wouldn't remember "The Burbs" in that scene they're sneaking at the creepy neighbor's yard. So, I guess some people haven't watched it.
