I kind of hope he is done with movies like these, because he is a decent director and doesn't seem to be solely interested in dumb comedies. I never liked Zoolander, but Tropic Thunder and The Cable Guy were ok and his new directorial effort looks pretty promising. I also though he was pretty good in Greenberg which showed he actually has some range, and he might direct a Pinnochio movie. I'd rather he focused on some more worthwhile stuff than useless crap like Night at the Museum or The Watch.

The Watch may not be great but it's not THAT bad. I've never seen Tower Heist so can't comment on that but I don't get the issue with Night at the Museum. It's a good family film.
shareI only watched this because I like the humour in Ben Stillers films I've seen. But The Watch was just terrible! The jokes were like something out of Family Guy - without the funny punchlines. Was their any sort of script to this steaming pile of plop?
shareMy sentiments exactly. It didn't seem like there was anything like a whole script, they just made it up as they went. The juvenile comedy fell flat, the serious scenes were worse. The movie didn't know what it wanted to be.
Stiller has become (as mentioned above) the next Adam Sandler.
