I agree with the thread title..but it will always be wonderful on screen./.(remake of DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS w/Steve Martin and BEDTIME STORY with Cary Grant and the pre-PARTIRDGE Shirley Jones.

Remaking Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is like trying to remake The Bible. (1) There’s no need. Got it right the first time. (2) Other than sheer stupidity, WHY?

BOTH remade BEDTIME STORY from '64, with Shirley Jones (in her original, pre-PARTRIDGE Hollywood/Broadway stardom..a great B'way star, who's been like one's mother, even before PF, and no diva!)
