Very confusing that....

*Spoilers ahead*

Parents lose a child, get her back alive for three precious days and:

1) Leave her alone to brush her hair
2) Lose her in the woods
3) Let her go with a neighbor for pony rides and are asked to come, but would rather drink tea without her instead
4) Have sex as a couple and don't do stuff like watch their newly resurrected daughter sleep or anything like that
5) Never ask their daughter's thoughts, take photos, have her draw something, record her voice, etc.

I am beginning to wonder why they even wanted her back at all. The most intimate thing they do, is the dad and girl sew up an injured dog together. Now, that's bonding!

Yes, I was thinking this too. They only have three precious days with her and they don't even spend every moment with her? I wouldn't let her out of my sight, knowing every moment is one of the last ones.

It's one of those not very strongly thought out plot drivers though; without some negligence the daughter wouldn't get the chance to wander off and cause tragedy.

There are so many other nonsensical actions that the characters take. It's just a *beep* movie.
