He was persuaded by physical temptation, while she was effected emotionally. Had she felt that strongly about Alex though, she should have sorted through her feelings to make sure marriage was the best step. I was proud of Michael explaining that he was married, but he gave in. Overall, what the OP said was spot on.

I still think the husband loved his wife a lot more than vice versa and wifey is going to end up with the exact kind of relationship she wants with her husband - loveless and sexless. And will divorce him in a minute as soon as she finds out he IS just a man and sleeping with someone else.
