Horrible

Jeez if I had been able to read somewhere that 1/2 of this film was simulations of MMA fighting I would never have watched it! That "sport" is just for those who want their "pro wrastling" heros from their childhood brought to real life. Any sport where you can hit and kick a guy when he is down is no real sport. It's seems to be all about inflicting pain--respect for your opponent and learning the art of self-defense are sneered at. (Although I do think the movie is being overly melodramatic with all the lines referring to the possibility of someone "getting killed" or how long he can "stay alive" in a match.) Do the referees really say "Go to war!" to start each round? That is such WWF cheesiness! And, as if they didn't want to spoil the climax of the movie by showing it earlier, I just couldn't figure out what "tapping" an opponent meant until of course Tommy does it in the big finale. So after all the kicking and slugging and body-slamming and knees to the groin the fury ends not with a bang but a kiss of the fingertips. Hilarious!
