The Great Koba
Look there was no way Brendan could have tapped him out, or won.
Also, Tommy was a wrestler in his younger years and yet he never came across like a take down fighter, and again, I don't see Brendan tapping him out either.
Brendan was quick and athletic but he lacked power and just seemed to summon these magic take down capabilities. Not very likely was it?
Oh, and they fight at Middleweight, and you are telling me that Koba was the same weight as Brendan? He was a heavyweight judging by his size.
I would have liked to have seen Tommy win and then buy Brendan's house for him. Then Brendan could quit being a ball bag to his wife.
Another point, Brendan was suspended from teaching for the rest of the term, six months, but that was on the condition that he didn't cage fight again. So by entering the Sparta he would have been fired, right? But they leave that out?
Good movie, but sloppy in parts.
Tommy was a much more interesting character and we should have seen more of him. Whenever the movie cut to Brendan and his bitchin it really got on my waz. I just wanted it to flick back to Tommy. He reminded me of a white polite Clubber Lang.
I would like a sequel about Tommy. That would be cool. Start it off with his last days in prison, and then boom. Let the fighting begin.
