I don't understand how they had some money to buy pizza. When Mike Slipped the $10 bill from the sewer to purchase the pizza, i always wondered where he earned that money. Since, they are ninja, they can not be seen. Also, they are turtles, no one is going to give a turtle a job, so I couldn't think of any possible way, they could earn some money, any ideas?

However I think the common explanation fans have is that they use money which gets washed down the sewer drains unhygienic as that idea may be.
Since in the comics it's implied their weapons belonged to Hamato Yoshi it's also possible they got money from there and made it last. A popular fan comic Turtle Turncoat has one of the turtles in disguise begging on the streets, not to mention the Fred Wolf show and the Imagi movies showed there are jobs the turtles can do without anyone seeing them.
That pizza scene made me wonder how they got money when i was a kid too. They go out incognito all the time in their trench coats and whatnot so it's concievable that they could get odd jobs here and there for extra money and has been mentioned they have been depicted performing jobs where they were able to work alone.

In modern times it would actually be easier. They could sell things on eBay and do other stuff online to make money. Use PayPal. Buy pizza online. Much easier than having to make cash.
