Wow first movie ever Bay didn't destroy

I was a huge tmnt fan as a kid and I was expecting this movie to be horrible with bad jokes nonstop like the Transformer movies. I was surprised that it wasn't horrible and stayed true to the original cartoon series and movies with some of the lines and scenes.

Some of the changes they made were acceptable. I wasn't a fan of Shredder's bulky suit, if it were smaller I would have liked it better. It was a good average movie, and Megan Fox looked horrible and acted really bad at first but after the turtles brought her to Splinter she looked normal and acted better.

I disagree on both counts.

Much as I've come to hate his movies Bay has made some good movies in the past.

Sadly I think he very much did destroy TMNT. I don't know if overloaded the movie with visual cues and callbacks to previous versions counts as staying true to the source. No Hamato Yoshi/Oroku Saki backstory which has been present in everyversion, Splinter learn ninjutsu from a book, the Foot as a public para military terrorist group fighting bullet proof turtles and everything revolves around Megan O'Neil. These are far from acceptable changes.

I'd say it very much it was full of lame jokes. As juvenile as the Fred Wolf animated series got it never resorted to toilet humour. As much as people say that they got the turtles "right" I think they over-did them for comedic effect. Michelangelo's constant hiring on April and Donatello's mincing Erkel-style antics were eye rolling.

I disagree on all accounts. The turtles are ugly and way too grotesque and the movie miss the mark. And Michael Bay was the *beep* before Pearl Harbor. The first Bad Boys movie was really cool, and the Rock is one of my favorite Action movies. That movie is really good

You know Michael Bay neither directed nor wrote this movie, right?
