Can any men ghost write a movie about women for them?

These Ghostbusters and Magnum PI type remakes are so bad for women. It's basically confirming that white males are the best at everything so if we want to make a movie about chicks, we need to use one of their scripts. Since women can't write good movies, this trend is just going to continue and ruin a lot of franchises written by men for men.

So why doesn't some lady just hire a guy to ghostwrite something original these women can star in? Then sign him to secrecy about the project and pretend a woman actually was able to write a good original script? Then we can stop the trend and empower young women to think it's possible to write a good movie.

'Ghost write' - points for cleverness ;-)

HAHA that was unintentional. Seriously though, can we contract a guy to secretly write a script pretending to be a lady so this stops?

reply

Yes... yes... Women can't write movies. That definitely no misogynistic at all.

Whats the funniest comedy movie written by an all female writing team?
I'd be interested to know.

Some (widely enjoyed) funny films written by women:

A New Leaf (Elaine May)
When Harry Met Sally (Nora Ephron)
Juno (Diablo Cody)
10 Things I Hate About You (Karen McCullah and Kristen Smith)

Cliche, but I'll put Tina Fey on the list, too. She's responsible for a lot of beloved material.

It would also be smart to log some male/female writing teams responsible for:

Guardians of the Galaxy (Nicole Perlman)
Kickass, Kingsman (Jane Goldman)
Fawlty Towers (Connie Booth)

I'm sure there are others, but I'm tired of Googling right now.
